For this year's Art Basel, the Howard Greenberg Gallery is transforming Booth E11 in Hall 2.0 into a spot celebrating photography. The forty-year experience of this New York-based gallery ensures a stunning display of notable artists working in the medium, and the list announces a feast for the eyes. The astonishing selection functions as a lesson in the history of photography, showcasing critical figures of the avant-garde, such as Man Ray and Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, to photography legends Alfred Stieglitz, William Klein, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Richard Avedon, Gordon Parks, and many more. A particular highlight of the show represents the addition of works by Constantin Brancusi, one of the pioneers of modern sculpture, whose photography endeavors deserve equal attention.
