Museum Hanmi will hold William Klein (1926-2022)'s first posthumous exhibition, 'DEAR FOLKS', from May 24th to September 17th, 2023.
This exhibition is the largest retrospective of William Klein's art in Korea, and exhibits about 130 works, including paintings, design, photography, fashion, film, and books, from the early 1950s to the 1990s, which are the most important aspects of his career.
Museum Hanmi Song Young-sook, director of the museum, said, "William Klein set an epoch-making milestone in the history of photography, while he was an innovator who delightfully twisted the standard categories of media and freely crossed other genres. This exhibition will be an opportunity to understand his true face, a fusion of intense exploration of the media and free spirit.”
