Bruno V. Roels' Signature Visions of Palm Trees Come to Howard Greenberg Gallery

Today digital photography might be a go-to choice, yet the analog photographic process, even though it's more intricate and time-consuming, possesses a timeless quality. This is partly due to all its "flaws" that artists, such as Bruno V. Roels, have learned to embrace fully and thus successfully transcend the photographic medium. These so-called "mistakes" make each artwork a unique piece of perfection.

The upcoming exhibition Looking for Paradise at Howard Greenberg Gallery will showcase Roels' 17 new photographic works, in which he continues his signature exploration of the palm trees through photographic repetition and variation. In them, he looks at the paradise associated with holidays and wealth but was gained through the terrible price of colonization.
